
QuantWare and Q-CTRL have announced a strategic partnership to integrate Q-CTRL’s autonomous calibration software, Boulder Opal Scale Up, with QuantWare’s superconducting quantum processing units (QPUs), including its new Contralto-A QPU for quantum error correction. The collaboration aims to streamline quantum system deployment by automating calibration routines, a traditionally time-consuming and manual process.
By integrating Boulder Opal Scale Up, QuantWare’s customers will benefit from reduced system setup times—from days to hours—allowing faster tuning of VIO-based QPUs designed to scale beyond one million qubits. The solution combines AI-driven automation with physics-informed models to deliver robust, repeatable performance optimization across QPU hardware.
This partnership enables push-button system tune-up for enterprise and research users, improving performance consistency while accelerating progress toward fault-tolerant, utility-scale quantum computing. QuantWare’s VIO platform and Q-CTRL’s software stack together offer a scalable pathway for deploying and maintaining high-fidelity quantum systems.
