WISeKey International Holding Ltd, SEALSQ Corp (NASDAQ: LAES), and WISeSat.Space (WISeSat) have announced the successful launch of their latest WISeSat satellite aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 Transporter 16 mission. This deployment is intended to strengthen WISeSat’s strategy to deploy a secure, resilient, and sovereign constellation for real-time, low-power IoT and cybersecurity services worldwide.

The satellite is designed to reinforce the secure, space-based communications architecture. The constellation is intended to integrate with SEALSQ post-quantum chips to ensure resilience for connected devices. Crucially, the constellation will begin supporting quantum-safe key distribution for critical infrastructure sectors (including energy, transportation, and smart cities) starting with its next launch in early 2026. The platform will enable the secure onboarding of billions of IoT devices by delivering quantum-resistant digital identities from orbit.

The new model satellite features Software-Defined Radio (SDR) technology, enabling flexible in-orbit reconfiguration and higher data-rate communications. Carlos Moreira, CEO of the three entities, noted that the launch advances Europe’s capacity to operate sovereign space-based secure communications and ensures resilience for the next generation of connected devices.
