SEEQC, a digital quantum computing company, has announced a manufacturing partnership with Taiwan’s Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) to construct a state-of-the-art process line dedicated to manufacturing SEEQC’s proprietary Single Flux Quantum (SFQ) superconducting control chips. The initiative is intended to build a resilient, distributed supply chain for emerging quantum and superconducting technologies.

The new manufacturing line will focus on delivering high-yield production of SFQ digital control chips, which are essential for building scalable, fault-tolerant quantum computers. These chips operate at cryogenic temperatures alongside qubits, handling timing, readout, and error-correction logic with ultra-low power and low latency. The collaboration leverages ITRI’s semiconductor process expertise with SEEQC’s proprietary SFQ chip design for large-scale manufacturing.

This manufacturing expansion supports SEEQC’s ongoing programs, including its participation in Phase B of the DARPA-sponsored Quantum Benchmarking Initiative (QBI) and collaborations with NVIDIA and the UK’s National Quantum Computing Centre (NQCC). Shu-Jen Han, CTO at SEEQC, noted that building this capability with a trusted partner creates a diversified manufacturing base for U.S. and global customers, complementing SEEQC’s existing New York chip fab.
