Unisys has launched its first Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) capability, a cryptographic posture assessment service aimed at helping organizations prepare for emerging quantum threats. The service offers a full inventory and analysis of an organization’s cryptographic assets, identifies vulnerabilities, and provides actionable mitigation strategies. As part of a broader PQC rollout, this launch reflects Unisys’s proactive approach to quantum-era security, addressing the need to safeguard sensitive data against future decryption by quantum computers.

While quantum computing is still several years from widespread deployment, current encrypted data may already be vulnerable to “store now, decrypt later” attacks by malicious actors anticipating future quantum capabilities. Unisys’s PQC services will help organizations transition to quantum-safe algorithms, build crypto-agile frameworks, and develop tailored migration roadmaps. Additional offerings launching over the next year will include strategy consulting, infrastructure modernization with quantum key management, and long-term crypto-agility services.

Unisys has also joined the Chicago Quantum Exchange (CQE) to support the development of industry-specific quantum applications and help cultivate quantum talent. Through strategic partnerships and a history of enterprise IT innovation, Unisys is positioning itself as a key player in quantum cybersecurity transformation.
