VDURA has announced a strategic partnership with New Mexico State University (NMSU). The collaboration aims to co-develop and commercialize post-quantum cryptographic (PQC) technology to safeguard the data pipelines that power next-generation artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) workloads.
As part of the partnership, the teams will integrate NIST-selected PQC algorithms into VDURA’s parallel file-system stack. This integration is designed to enable line-rate encryption of GPU-accelerated workloads without sacrificing performance. NMSU, a Carnegie R1 research institution, will contribute its cryptography and cybersecurity research to the collaboration. The initiative aims to embed quantum-resilient encryption into VDURA’s data platform, future-proofing its mission for the AI era.
This partnership is positioned as a translational collaboration that advances deep tech solutions through an alliance between academia and industry. It addresses the need for quantum-resilient encryption to secure data infrastructure for AI and HPC, ensuring compliance with federal mandates and supporting the protection of information that powers discovery. NMSU expects the initiative to expand its research portfolio and position it as a contributor in cybersecurity.
