Entropica Labs, based in Singapore, and Xanadu, a Canadian photonic quantum computing leader, have announced a partnership aimed at advancing fault-tolerant quantum computing (FTQC). The collaboration integrates Entropica’s EKA, a data structure for quantum error correction (QEC), with Xanadu’s open-source tools, PennyLane and Catalyst, to create a seamless error-corrected quantum programming workflow.
This partnership addresses the critical challenge of efficient qubit utilization as the industry transitions from noisy intermediate-scale quantum (NISQ) devices to fault-tolerant systems. By combining resources, the two companies aim to reduce the logical qubit overhead required for meaningful quantum algorithms, a key step towards utility-scale quantum computing.
