SEALSQ Corp (NASDAQ: LAES) has allocated up to $20 million to invest in startups specializing in quantum computing, Quantum-as-a-Service (QaaS), and AI-driven semiconductor technologies. This initiative, part of SEALSQ’s Quantum Roadmap, aims to address the urgent need for post-quantum cryptographic (PQC) solutions as quantum computing threatens traditional encryption methods like RSA and ECC (Elliptical Curve Cryptography).
One key investment is in ColibriTD, a quantum computing company developing is a QaaS platform. This partnership will integrate ColibriTD’s technology into SEALSQ’s roadmap, focusing on applications such as random number generation and quantum attack simulations. ColibriTD’s platform bridges the gap between current noisy quantum computers and future quantum hardware, enabling industries like aerospace and energy to solve complex problems.
Additionally, SEALSQ is advancing post-quantum cybersecurity for unmanned aerial systems (UAS). Collaborating with AgEagle, SEALSQ has equipped the eBee VISION drone with secure microcontrollers compliant with NIST FIPS140-2 Level 3, ensuring tamper-resistant hardware, trusted identity management, and end-to-end encryption. This aligns with U.S. Department of Defense requirements and prepares drones for quantum-resistant encryption standards.
SEALSQ’s investments and partnerships underscore its commitment to developing scalable, quantum-safe solutions for industries facing evolving cyber threats.
