PsiQuantum has introduced Construct, a new software platform for designing, developing, and optimizing fault-tolerant quantum algorithms. The platform is intended to address the need for tools that can handle the scale and complexity of algorithms for fault-tolerant quantum computers, which may require hundreds of logical qubits and billions of operations.
Construct includes Circuit Designer, a visual editor for prototyping circuits; Workbench, a Python library for developing algorithms; and a Resource Analyzer, a visual tool for breaking down algorithm costs. The platform is hosted in a Quantum Development Environment (QDE) that allows developers to code from a browser via VSCode or Jupyter, without requiring a local setup. Workbench is designed to support the development of modular subroutines, allowing researchers to reuse existing code.
Construct is being made available through an Early Access Program (EAP) for partners across industry, government, and academia. Access is being prioritized for researchers who can utilize the platform’s capabilities. The company’s goal is to develop fault-tolerant quantum algorithms that can take advantage of future utility-scale quantum computers.
