I don’t think Chapman University is active in their research. All of their members in “Institute of Quantum Studies” are emeritus professor except one. No one replies to email and if someone does, they are not sure about what is the purpose of “Institute of Quantum Studies”. Please let me know if they are really active in their research.

  I do not know of any university that provides an online course in quantum computing to earn a masters degree. However, MIT does have an online quantum computing curriculum that allows one to earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs). The next course starts on January 28, 2019 and there is a webinar to answer questions about it on January 9, 2019.   I do not know of any University that grants a degree in Quantum Technology fully online. There may be a few holding online classes for a degree right now due to Covid, but I would expect those to end in 2021.
  
  However, a few Universities are offering online courses that may provide a certificate of completion. One example is MIT which offers it’s Quantum xPRO courses that you can see at https://learn-xpro.mit.edu/quantum-computing. You can see other online resources that teach quantum computing concepts on our EDUCATION page.

Hi, thanks for creating such a list. It’s really helpful. However, I think, it would be better for prospective grad students if you could add the information about the universities that are offering Ph.D. in QC or related fields. As far as I know, not all these universities have QC Ph.D. programs.

  Thanks for your comment. I agree it would be helpful to provide more information on the details of each university’s program. However, there are over 150 different universities in this list, so collecting all this information would be quite challenging and time consuming. It might be a project we will consider for the future.

  This list isn’t for grad students to apply for grad school. This is an attempt to give more insight on which groups have research in QC. You should do your own due diligence on which schools you want to apply to. That’s a skill that every grad student needs to have.

  QuICS and Uni of Maryland and QuSoft in Amsterdam do quite a lot of research in these areas from what I’ve seen
