Classiq Technologies has announced the release of Qmod (Quantum Modeling Language), the first high-level language (HLL) for quantum coding, now available to developers, researchers, and enterprises worldwide. Qmod enables advanced quantum modeling by allowing developers to describe quantum algorithms at a high level of abstraction, integrating quantum computing concepts with conventional programming constructs. This approach simplifies quantum programming by letting developers focus on the functional intent of their algorithms while Classiq’s compiler and synthesis engine manage the complex hardware implementation.

Qmod’s declarative nature allows users to define what their algorithm should achieve rather than how to achieve it, optimizing for hardware constraints automatically. The language’s flexibility and interoperability support native syntax, Python, and graphical representation, making it industry-ready for scalable quantum software development.

Classiq CEO and co-founder Nir Minerbi emphasized Qmod’s role in democratizing quantum programming by enabling both quantum experts and developers without a quantum background to create sophisticated programs. The platform ensures seamless compilation for a range of hardware and simulation environments, adapting implementations dynamically to different hardware configurations for optimal performance.
