This investment will enable Atom Computing to establish its European headquarters in Denmark, enhancing the country’s burgeoning quantum ecosystem. The move aligns with the Danish government’s strategy to position Denmark as a hub for international quantum technology. This collaboration, facilitated by Invest in Denmark, will bring advanced quantum technology, expertise, and jobs to Denmark.
Denmark’s Minister for Industry, Business, and Financial Affairs, Morten Bødskov, and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Lars Løkke Rasmussen, highlighted the importance of this investment for fostering international partnerships and accelerating quantum technology development. EIFO’s CEO, Peder Lundquist, emphasized Denmark’s strong academic foundation in quantum research and the potential for commercializing this technology. Atom Computing’s CEO, Rob Hays, expressed enthusiasm for partnering with Denmark, citing the country’s commitment to quantum research and development.
This partnership also supports Denmark’s National Strategy for Quantum Technology and the Quantum Information and Sciences Technology cooperation agreement with the USA.
