Leading quantum computer maker IQM expands its global footprint to Poland, focusing on accelerating the adoption of quantum technologies for businesses, research institutions, and universities. This marks IQM’s seventh global office, adding to its existing presence in the US, Asia-Pacific, and four European countries.

To further research and development in quantum applications, IQM signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Gdańsk University of Technology, a leading technical university in Poland. This collaboration aims to explore transformative fields like personalized medicine, leveraging the expertise of both parties. The partnership is seen as a significant milestone for Poland’s quantum community, fostering innovation and knowledge exchange. Additionally, it aims to build a robust educational ecosystem, equipping students with the skills needed for this rapidly evolving field.

Poland’s established tech hub status, with a growing talent pool in software, physics, and engineering, coupled with the government’s commitment to deep tech and AI development, made it an attractive location for IQM. The country’s participation in the European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) further strengthens its position in the technological landscape.
