Tokyo-based quantum software developer JIJ Inc. has announced the completion of an 840 million JPY (approximately $5.2 million USD) equity financing round led by Global Brain. The capital raise included participation from multiple funds managed by Global Brain—including the KDDI Open Innovation Fund III, ME Innovation Fund (Mitsubishi Electric), ANA Future Frontier Fund, and KURONEKO Innovation Fund II (Yamato Holdings)—alongside follow-on investment from Fujitsu Ventures. The new funding will support the scale-up of JIJ’s enterprise optimization operations, advance its cloud-based JijZept AI modeling platform, expand global subsidiaries in the UK and Germany, and accelerate the development of gate-based quantum middleware under a research initiative funded by Japan’s New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO).

In tandem with its financing, JIJ released Qamomile v0.14.0, expanding its open-source Python framework from an optimization-specific library into a general-purpose, type-safe quantum programming language. The updated platform introduces algebraic resource estimation tools to calculate qubit and gate counts directly from Python source code, helping developers evaluate algorithm scaling for fault-tolerant quantum computing (FTQC) environments. The v0.14.0 release incorporates built-in subroutines for Quantum Singular Value Transformation (QSVT), Linear Combination of Unitaries (LCU) block encodings, and modular-multiplication routines for Ekerå-Håstad factoring, while enabling multi-SDK transpilation across Qiskit, CUDA-Q, QURI Parts, HUGR, qBraid, and Quration.

Complementing its software updates, JIJ has formally joined the Quantinuum Startup Partner Program. The partnership grants JIJ technical access to Quantinuum’s trapped-ion hardware platforms, the Nexus cloud environment, and the InQuanto computational chemistry suite. JIJ will leverage Quantinuum’s physical quantum processors to benchmark its hybrid quantum-classical algorithms, validate Qamomile’s cross-platform execution pipelines, and address complex supply chain, flight scheduling, and logistical optimization use cases for enterprise partners.
