Norma, a South Korean quantum security and computing firm, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with game developer Neowiz to collaborate on applying quantum computing, quantum algorithms, and quantum AI in the gaming industry. The partnership follows an investment from Neowiz Holdings earlier this year and will focus on joint research, development, and commercialization of quantum technologies for game design and infrastructure.

Key areas of collaboration include the integration of quantum computing into game development workflows, development of quantum-enhanced AI algorithms to address current limitations in conventional machine learning models, and the implementation of quantum security technologies to enhance cybersecurity in gaming platforms. The companies aim to position themselves at the forefront of quantum-driven innovation within interactive entertainment.

Executives from both companies emphasized their goal to be early movers in applying quantum technologies to a traditionally fast-adopting tech sector. The MOU is part of Norma’s broader strategy to build a diverse set of quantum application cases in commercially relevant domains.
