Alice & Bob, a prominent developer in fault-tolerant quantum computers, has announced its newly constituted Consultative Board, comprising quantum computing pioneers Daniel Gottesman, David DiVincenzo, John Martinis, and Yasunobu Nakamura. The board will advise on the long-term roadmap and prioritization of milestones.
Daniel Gottesman is renowned for the Gottesman-Knill Theorem, proving quantum error correction codes’ utility in achieving fault-tolerant quantum computing. David DiVincenzo established the “DiVincenzo Criteria,” defining quantum computers’ minimal requirements. John Martinis led Google’s 2019 quantum supremacy experiment. Yasunobu Nakamura pioneered the superconducting qubit.
Raphael Lescanne, CTO and Co-founder of Alice & Bob, emphasized the board’s collective expertise in refining the company’s roadmap. The board’s distance from the cat qubit paradigm offers valuable perspective. A press release provided by Alice & Bob with additional information is available here.
