Quantum Machines (QM) and Hamamatsu Photonics have collaborated to integrate QM’s OPX quantum controller with Hamamatsu’s ORCA-Quest camera, enhancing quantum computing control. This integration achieves groundbreaking image processing speeds of less than 1 µs per atom/ion, offering unprecedented experimental control. The OPX integration allows seamless programming using QM’s QUA language, ensuring feedback times below 100 µs. The system’s reliability is evidenced by its adoption in prestigious laboratories globally. The compatibility of OPX+ with Camera Link and CoaXPress interfaces, along with Hamamatsu’s ORCA-Quest camera, ensures enhanced scalability and real-time, deterministic frame acquisition.
Itamar Sivan, CEO of Quantum Machines, highlights the collaboration as a game-changer in quantum measurements, pushing the boundaries of quantum research. Tadashi Maruno, CEO of Hamamatsu Photonics, emphasizes the joint effort towards fault-tolerant quantum computing. The ORCA-Quest camera excels in low-light conditions, while Quantum Machines’ OPX stands out for its comprehensive control capabilities tailored for scaling quantum computing.
