The Technology Innovation Institute (TII) and ASPIRE, subsidiaries of the Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC), have signed a landmark R&D agreement with ADNOC to advance sustainable energy solutions using quantum technology. The collaboration will focus on carbon storage monitoring and battery optimization, with plans to expand into autonomous robotics, propulsion systems, and renewable energy technologies.

The partnership leverages TII’s expertise in quantum sensing to enhance carbon capture and storage (CCS) systems by detecting environmental changes and preventing leaks. It also aims to develop non-invasive methods for measuring battery performance, enabling better recycling processes and sustainable energy storage solutions.

Dr. Najwa Aaraj, CEO of TII, highlighted the potential of quantum sensing to optimize CCS and battery systems, while Stephane Timpano, CEO of ASPIRE, emphasized the importance of transforming innovative ideas into practical technologies. Sophie Hildebrand, CTO of ADNOC, underscored the collaboration’s role in driving sustainable energy advancements.
