Zurich Instruments has deepened its collaborative efforts in South Korea by signing two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with key entities in the quantum sector. The first MoU with Norma Inc., a quantum security specialist, aims to integrate Norma’s Q Platform software with Zurich Instruments’ Quantum Computing Control System (QCCS), enhancing the quantum computing capabilities available to Korean customers. This partnership, formalized during the Quantum Korea event, underscores a commitment to advancing quantum technology through synergistic software-hardware integration.
The second MoU, with the Graduate School of Quantum Science & Technology at KAIST, focuses on educational advancement in quantum computing. By leveraging Zurich Instruments’ advanced measurement technologies, the collaboration aims to equip future quantum professionals with cutting-edge skills, fostering innovation in Korea’s quantum ecosystem.
Since 2022, Zurich Instruments has also collaborated with the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science (KRISS) on high-performance superconducting qubits and calibration technologies. This ongoing partnership supports KRISS’s ambitious 50-qubit quantum computer project and has facilitated significant progress in quantum computing capabilities showcased at recent industry events.
