Aliro has introduced AliroNet Quickstart, a new bundled product designed to facilitate the deployment of entanglement-based quantum networks. The package includes hardware for quantum network implementation and software for orchestration, control, and data operation. It aims to support applications such as entanglement-based key distribution, connecting quantum processors, and linking distributed quantum sensors.

AliroNet Quickstart addresses the security challenges posed by quantum computing, offering an alternative to conventional encryption by eliminating public key exchanges. The system generates shared keys through entanglement, providing a quantum-safe approach to securing data, voice, and video transmission. It also supports a layered defense strategy by integrating with post-quantum cryptography (PQC) for a comprehensive security posture.

The product can be configured for production, pilot, or testbed environments and is compatible with various physical-layer hardware required for creating and measuring entangled photons. Initially, AliroNet Quickstart is available for fiber optic connectivity, offering two wavelength options, 810 nm and 1510 nm. The company is also planning to introduce an option that supports free-space connectivity in the future.

Designed to work at room temperature, AliroNet Quickstart integrates with classical network architectures, catering to industries such as telecommunications, utilities, and research. The system provides organizations with a tool for piloting, testing, and deploying secure quantum networks.
