As part of a multi-client study on the technology used in the middle part of the quantum computing stack, GQI interviewed Vishal Chatrath, CEO of QuantrolOx about the role of the Quantum Computing Midstack in the quantum ecosystem and how his company, QuantrolOx plans to address the most critical issues in the sector. Here are his comments:

At QuantrolOx, we are deeply committed to revolutionizing the Quantum Computing Midstack,  by automating the critical area of qubit control and quantum optimal control. Our mission is to simplify the complexities inherent in controlling quantum scale systems, making quantum computing more accessible, scalable, and efficient.

We understand that the shift from classical to quantum computing introduces unique challenges – controlling individual quantum systems in an environment where even the slightest disturbances can have significant impacts. Our solution lies in automation – our first product, Quantum Edge, introduces a groundbreaking approach that reduces the reliance on constant human intervention and scales up the potential of quantum computing. By integrating our software solutions with leading quantum computing hardware providers, we have established QuantrolOx as a versatile and essential player in the field.

Our vision is to make Quantum Edge the world’s leading automated qubit control software for quantum computing, and we are well on our way to achieving this. We are continuously investing in research and development, ensuring that our software stays abreast of the latest advancements in superconducting qubits. Our strategy involves not just supporting existing technologies like transmons but also expanding our expertise to include fluxoniums and other emerging qubit varieties. Our product QuantumEdge will also become compatible with silicon spin, NV diamond centers and subsequently ion-trapped and neutral atoms qubits.

Collaboration is at the heart of our success. We maintain robust relationships with our stakeholders – from hardware providers to academic institutions, ensuring a collaborative environment that fosters mutual growth and innovation. Our approach to business is not just about technological advancement; it’s about creating a synergistic ecosystem that propels the entire quantum computing industry forward.

As we continue to navigate the dynamic quantum computing market, we invite you to join us on this exciting journey. Whether you are a QPU vendor, a control electronics hardware provider,  research institute or an operator of quantum computers there is immense potential in collaborating with QuantrolOx. Together, we can drive the field of quantum computing to new heights, achieving breakthroughs that once seemed beyond reach.
