Vescent Photonics has named Russ Fein as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Board Member. As a Managing Director of investment bank Corporate Fuel Partners, Russ played a key role in arranging Vescent’s recent $5 million seed financing. Corporate Fuel takes an active role in their investments and Russ will be working with Vescent as part of this strategy. He has over 30 years of experience in a variety of financial firms as well as serving as a Board Member and has experience with a wide variety of technical based industries including biopharma, laser micromachining, software, and others. D-Wave Quantum Inc. has announced the appointment of Lorenzo Martinelli as Chief Revenue Officer and the promotion of Dr. Trevor Lanting to Chief Development Officer. Mr. Martinelli will be responsible for leading the Company’s recently launched go-to-market (GTM) growth strategy to expand the company’s business with a particular focus in the areas of logistics, manufacturing, and government. He has over 30 years of experience in high-tech sales at companies including C-Plan, QAD, E2open, AristaSoft, Infor, and Digital Equipment Corporation. Dr. Lanting will be responsible for leading the execution of D-Wave’s product roadmap including the Leap Cloud Service, the Ocean software tool suite, the Advantage and Advantage2 quantum annealing systems, and the company’s gate model processor development.
