Oxford Ionics has recruited Chris Goodings to become their VP of Engineering. His responsibilities will including leading the company’s technical activities including including the Quantum Science & Engineering, Quantum Infrastructure, and Software Development teams. He has significant prior experience in engineering management with a background that includes working at Salience Labs, Graphcore, Blu Wireless Technology Ltd., NVIDIA, and other companies. Nu Quantum has added Roland Acra to its Board of Advisors. Acra will advise the company on US commercial expansion, scaling product and go-to-market strategy to help the company accelerate commercial adoption on a larger scale. Acra has extensive experience in the classical networking space including a previous position at CTO at Cisco Systems and other experience at Procket Networks, Interphase Corporation, and 3Com. D-Wave has appointed John DiLullo and Rohit Ghai to its Board of Directors. They will be advising the company as it executes its aggressive go-to-market strategy to accelerate the adoption of the company’s quantum annealing solutions. John DiLullo is currently the CEO of Deepwatch, an AI-powered managed security platform, and has previous technology management and sales experience at networking, cloud, and cybersecurity companies including Tetrate, LiveVox, Lastline, F5 Networks, AlertGPS, Aruba Networks, Avaya, SonicWall, and Cisco Systems. Rohit Ghai is Chief Executive Officer and Board Member of RSA Security, a network security company with a focus on encryption and encryption standards. He has previous experience at EMC, Symantec, CA Technologies, and Cheyenne Software. An announcement by D-Wave announcing these two new board members has been posted here.
Equal1 has added additional senior leadership to its technical team with the additions of Nodar Samkharadze as Chief Quantum Architect, Amir Sammak as Vice-President of Quantum Material, and Sergey Amitonov as Director of Quantum Device Integration. These three new team members will all be located at Equal1’s new research facility located at the House of Quantum in Delft. These gentlemen will focus on advancing the development of the Equal1’s QSoC (quantum-system-on-chip) processors based upon the company’s silicon qubit technology. They will also help to coordinate the technical partnership that Equal1 recently announced with TNO. Previously, Nodar Samkharadze was a Quantum Research Scientist at TNO and a Postdoctoral Researcher at TU Delft. Amir Sammak previously was a senior scientist and researcher at TNO, QuTech, and TU Delft. And Sergey Amitonov was also a senior scientist and researcher at TNO, QuTech, and TU Delft.
