λambeq is an open source, Python-based software development tool for quantum natural language processing (QNLP). It was originally released in October 2021 and was the first software package available for QNLP. This newest release from Quantinuum, version 0.3.0, has been designed to make it easier to use and provide better support for new users starting to experiment with QNLP.
The first key new feature is an integration with PennyLane to provide users with access to the large PennyLane library and hybrid quantum-classical models available with PennyLane. A second key new feature is for users of quantum machine learning need to train their models. This new version of λambeq includes new λambeq-native loss functions that will make it easier for users to do the training. And the third significant new feature is new NLP-101 tutorial support to allow new users to get more familiar with QNLP.
In addition, some bugs were fixed, there is now improvements in exception handling and documentation, and support was added for the latest version 3.11 of Python.
