We have collaborated with personnel from the Innovation Attaché Network (part of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy) to create a worldwide map of quantum activity. It is primarily based upon data we show in the Players section of this web site. As shown below you can see certain clusters of activity in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia, Japan and China. Note that the dots only show the location of the organizations and does not represent the number of people in each organization or country nor does it represent the monetary amount of R&D that is being funded within each country. Nonetheless, it does give one an overall idea of where the clusters of quantum research are happening. You can see additional information in a blog post they wrote earlier this year here.
