IBM has released a new module in their Qiskit suite called Qiskit Ignis. Qiskit Ignis is a framework for understanding and mitigating noise in quantum circuits and devices. It provides tools for characterizing the error characteristics of a quantum device, verification experiments to verify gate and small circuit performance and mitigation experiments to develop mitigation routines at the microwave pulse level to reduce errors.
This software module appears to offer functionality beyond what is currently available with some of the other quantum platform providers. However, startups Q-Ctrl and Quantum Benchmark are also providing software for this general area. IBM has released this software as open source so it could possibly be used with other non-IBM systems.
